Sharon with her son Tom, then a Junior at the University of
Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Tom is currently nearing completion of his
doctoral degree and is a Captain in the United States Army. |

Sharon with her mother,
sister and brothers. Sharon's mother was compassionate, positive, and strong.
Neighbors came to her with their problems. She taught her five children to
always do their best, to be accountable for their actions, that mistakes are
learning experiences rather than failures, and to help others. |

Dad was a decorated
paratrooper in WWII and a Golden Gloves boxer. He worked hard and was a
union steward. He loved playing the violin, reading, classical music, and
corny jokes. He still always found time for his family. |

Sharon's son Tom is nearing completion of his
doctoral degree in clinical psychology. He was awarded a medical scholarship
by the United States Army and will counsel our soldiers. |
